Something as simple as sweeping your floors can be used as an excellent way to practice forgiveness. As you begin sweeping, say to yourself:

“I sweep away negative thoughts and my broom is a symbol of forgiveness.”

Continue with…“Let the motion of my arms and the sweeping of the floor represent the cleaning of my mind of all past guilt and old thought patterns.”

Then finally, as you dispose of the debris, “As I release my guilt and old thoughts, my floor and my mind are clean, shining and renewed.”

We love our broom of forgiveness. It’s a magical tool!  The next time you sweep, know that there is a new layer…and be sure to repeat this process.
